"Sentience"

This image was taken on an afternoon drive in the Satara region of the Kruger National Park in South Africa. It depicts a close up of a Bull Elephant resting in the bush next to the road. We had been quite cautious with Elephants prior to this encounter due to their notorious bad temperament in the Kruger, however this male was relaxed enough for us to approach and spend almost an hour in his presence.
